I share my life with my teenage son, an amazingly supportive spouse, and our ancient, crotchety guinea pig. I have a frightening propensity to burst into nonsensical songs, find absolutely everything funny and nothing sacred, and on the rare occasion I emerge from in front of the computer, I can be found with my nose buried in a book or knitting something, usually socks. I was diagnosed with breast cancer on October 18, 2011; I was 44 years old. While I am much more than "just" a breast cancer patient, I have this need to talk about it and not drive everyone around me nuts.
